The Breckenridge Buckaroos fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Early by a score of 52-42 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Breckenridge also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Breckenridge was led to victory by Destiny Jamison and Kaysi Wilcox. Jamison scored 15 points along with two steals and two blocks, while Wilcox scored 21 points along with five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Wilcox has scored at least a third of Breckenridge's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Karsyn Smalley, who scored two points along with ten rebounds and five steals.
Breckenridge's victory bumped their record up to 10-23. As for Early, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-19 record this season.
Breckenridge will be playing at home against the Greyhounds at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Peaster is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Early, they will head out on the road to face off against the Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Comanche will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
