Plant had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They secured a 31-27 W over Plant City on Friday.
Among those leading the charge was Waltez Clark, who rushed for 70 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Chase Jarrett, who gained 99 total yards and a touchdown.
Olympia typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday Dr. Phillips proved too difficult a challenge. Dr. Phillips came out on top in a nail-biter against Olympia and snuck past 17-15. The victory was just what Dr. Phillips needed coming off of a 37-10 defeat in their prior contest.

Plant has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 9-2 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.8 points per game. As for Dr. Phillips, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Plant, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 24-10 loss to Dr. Phillips when the teams last played back in November of 2014.
