The Timpview Thunderbirds will face off against the Hillcrest Huskies at 3:00  p.m.  on Friday. Neither Timpview nor Hillcrest posted many  runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.
Last Wednesday, Timpview came up short against South Summit  and fell  7-2.
 Beckham Woodward was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  struck out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and six unearned) runs off   six  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Tyler Weed was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 1-for-2 with one  home run. Another player making a difference was  Jordan Christensen, who  scored a  run and  stole  Two bases. while going 1-for-1.
 Even though they lost, Timpview  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Summit struck out six times.
 Hillcrest kicked off their season on the road  on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against  Delta, falling  11-1. Sadly, the  defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 21 in a row.
 Everything went Timpview's way against Hillcrest in their previous meeting  back in March of 2024, as Timpview made off with  a  15-2 victory. Will Timpview repeat their success,  or does  Hillcrest have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
