Basketball Recap: Osborne Has No Trouble Against Natoma

The matchup between Osborne and Natoma on Friday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. Everything went the Osborne Bulldogs' way against the Natoma Tigers as the Osborne Bulldogs made off with a 67-41 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Natoma saw an underclassman step up: freshman Lucy Alexander posted 15 points. Alexander has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. MaKayla Murphy was another key player, putting up seven points.

Osborne has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4-1 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.7 points. As for Natoma, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Osborne will head out to square off against Stockton on Monday. Stockton's defense has only allowed 29.5 points per game this season, so Osborne's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Natoma, they will head out on the road to face off against Rock Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Hills will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Natoma surely won't give up without a fight.
