Lisle had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over the St. Edward Green Wave on Thursday. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Green Wave, too.

Lisle's win bumped their record up to 3-22-1. As for St. Edward, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-25.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Lisle will face off against Clark at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.8 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for St. Edward, they will venture away from home to face off against Timothy Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Green Wave surely won't give up without a fight.
