It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Crossroad Academy Scorpions had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 39-30 win over the Warriors. Winning may never get old, but Crossroad Academy sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Despite the defeat, Aucilla Christian had strong showings from Avery Emerick, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and four steals, and Lexie Eades, who scored three points along with five rebounds and two steals. Emerick hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games.
Crossroad Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-13. As for Aucilla Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
Crossroad Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Graceville at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. Hopefully Graceville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday. Aucilla Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
