The Palo Verde Panthers will square off against The Meadows School Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palo Verde is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Palo Verde managed to slip by Basic the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Palo Verde lost 12-4 to Basic on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered since May 18, 2024.

Palo Verde got a good showing from Dylan Feeny, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. The dominant performance also gave Feeny a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
At the plate, Palo Verde saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tanner Johns, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, The Meadows School put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Mojave with a sharp 18-3 victory.
Keegan Sabelko made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Sabelko was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Simon Tesfaye, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Connor McGill, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and one RBI.
Palo Verde's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for The Meadows School, their record is now 3-0.
Palo Verde beat The Meadows School 7-3 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Palo Verde since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
