Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Archbishop McNicholas). They came out on top against the Tri-Cities Christian Eagles by a score of  91-84  on Sunday. The  win was all the more spectacular given the Rockets' disadvantage  in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked 304th in Ohio, while the Eagles are ranked 92nd in Tennessee).
Leading Archbishop McNicholas to victory were  Grant Waters and  Charlie Clark.  Waters  went 11 for 25  on his way to 39  points, while  Clark  went 8 of 18  on his way to 23  points in addition to five  boards and three  steals. That's the most points  Clark has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brody Conrad, who  posted eight  points.
 Archbishop McNicholas  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 13  offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tri-Cities Christian only pulled down five  offensive rebounds.
 Tri-Cities Christian lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Justin Kingbowa, who  went 6 of 7 from beyond the arc on his way to 21 points and six  rebounds. Kingbowa has been hot recently, having also posted two or more  blocks the last four times he's  played.  Jordan Peters was another key player,  going 8 of 13  on his way to 18 points.
Archbishop McNicholas has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record  this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Tri-Cities Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.
 Archbishop McNicholas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  game,  a  77-66  victory against Bishop Fenwick on the 8th. As for Tri-Cities Christian, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  77-51  loss against Miller School of Albemarle on the 3rd.
