If the Bendle Tigers were riding high off their 73-42 takedown of the Bentley Bulldogs last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Bendle took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mt. Morris. Bendle was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mt. Morris apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Malis Firman, who scored ten points along with five assists and four steals. Another player making a difference was Elijah Boyd, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Bendle's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Mt. Morris, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Durand the next time they take the court. Bendle will host Durand at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Mt. Morris will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
