After three games on the road, Blackduck is heading back home. They will take on the Nevis Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Blackduck will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings (they are ranked 394th, while the Tigers are ranked 100th).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 79-38, which was the final score in Blackduck's tilt against the Wolves on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Nevis put the finishing touches on their 12th blowout victory of the season on Friday. They claimed a resounding 79-42 win over Mountain Iron-Buhl at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Nevis.
Blackduck's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Nevis, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Blackduck took a serious blow against the Tigers in their previous matchup back in January, falling 87-27. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Nevis' Alex Lester, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Now that Blackduck knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
