Ipswich is 3-0 against Wilmot since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Ipswich Tigers will be home for the holidays to greet the Wilmot Wolves at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Ipswich is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wilmot in South Dakota (Ipswich is ranked 35th, while Wilmot is ranked 100th).
Last Tuesday, Ipswich came up short against Waubay/Summit and fell 46-39. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ipswich has scored all season.
Even though Wilmot has not done well against Langford recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Wilmot put the hurt on Langford with a sharp 59-35 victory. That 59-35 margin sets a new team best for Wilmot this season.
Ipswich's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Wilmot, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Ipswich took their victory against Wilmot when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 56-33. Does Ipswich have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wilmot turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
