Even though the North Park Wildcats have not done well against the Rangely Panthers recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. North Park took down Rangely 56-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Park.
Gavin Pittington was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with nine rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Cornelison, who scored 15 points.
North Park's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Rangely, they bumped their record down to 3-9 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.
North Park the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome De Beque at 1:30 p.m. on January 26th. As for Rangely, they will head out on the road to take on Hayden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Hayden is ranked 248th, while Rangely is ranked 266th).
