Greater New Bedford RVT's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over Apponequet Regional. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

The result came thanks to Jack Anderson's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Greater New Bedford RVT is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-7 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Greater New Bedford RVT let Dorian Fortes and Fabien Garcia run wild. Fortes went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI, while Garcia got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Those two doubles gave Fortes a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Illiam Santiago, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Somerset Berkley Regional came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Cardinals. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.
Liam Meehan was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and six RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Jayden Cruz was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Greater New Bedford RVT's record now sits at 6-8. As for Somerset Berkley Regional, their record is now 10-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Greater New Bedford RVT has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Somerset Berkley Regional struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Greater New Bedford RVT was able to grind out a solid victory over Somerset Berkley Regional in their previous matchup back in April, winning 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
