Wheeler had won five straight on the road dating back to last season, but  on Tuesday they bumped their record up to 4-3 to make it six. They walked away with  a   7-2  win over the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors. The Bearcats haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive  victory against them.
 Grace Gabriel made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  struck out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   five  hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  Faith Kromray was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Abby Allen, who  went 2-for-4 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
As for Hammond Bishop Noll, their  loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. They haven't had much luck with Wheeler recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
 On Hammond Bishop Noll's side,  Daniella (Ella) Zvonar was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and two  RBI. That  stolen base marked the first that  Zvonar has  snagged this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wheeler will take on Merrillville at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, they will challenge Hobart at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
