Antonio Mckoy was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 34 points and 11 boards. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dashaun Mckoy, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards.
Harrells Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Freedom Christian Academy). They blew past Amandla Academy 113-61 on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Harrells Christian Academy better focus on containing Karsten Swinney and Bryce West as the pair were huge in Freedom Christian Academy's win. Swinney dropped a double-double on 41 points and 11 assists, while West posted 29 points in addition to seven assists and seven steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Swinney has scored at least a third of Freedom Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cristian Sias, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 boards.
Harrells Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. As for Freedom Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Harrells Christian Academy hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 69.2 points per game. However, it's not like Freedom Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 83 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Harrells Christian Academy took a serious blow against Freedom Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, falling 75-38. Can Harrells Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
