Despite the defeat, Bob Hope saw an underclassman step up: Joselynn Estrada scored eight points.
Zakiya Umstead was her usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-4 from deep and dropping a double-double on 22 points and 13 steals for Cristo Rey Jesuit. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelis Pickett, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Bob Hope's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.8 points per game. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, the victory got them back to even at 4-4-1.
