Football Recap: Jefferson Forest Piles Up the Points Against Brookville

Jefferson Forest waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took their game with ease, bagging a 41-13 victory over the Brookville Bees. The Cavaliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 28 points or more this season.

Peyton Jackson was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 103 yards and two TDs on only nine passes, and also rushed for 49 yards. Those 49 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Jefferson Forest was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 261 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brookville only rushed for 11.

Jefferson Forest didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Pierson Brooks and Thax Rowland. That interception was Brooks' first of the season.

Jefferson Forest's record now sits at 8-1. As for Brookville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5.

The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Cavaliers 7.8, the Pioneers 12.9) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Brookville will square off against rival Glass at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
