Selinsgrove has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Bloomsburg Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Selinsgrove came up short against the Bulldogs and fell 44-37. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Selinsgrove has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Selinsgrove saw an underclassman step up: Xaivier Jackson scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Piecuch, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, Bloomsburg's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to Warrior Run 49-45.
Selinsgrove's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5. As for Bloomsburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
Selinsgrove beat the Panthers 62-49 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Will Selinsgrove repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
