Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bucklin). They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 65-21 win over the Satanta Indians. The Red Aces are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 15 straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bucklin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emmy Kirk, who en route to 19 points and six assists. Kirk's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Karlee Evans, who on her way to 14 points and four steals.
Kirk wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Bucklin was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in March of 2024.
Bucklin pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points over those games. As for Satanta, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.
Bucklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Satanta, they have already played their next contest, a 60-31 defeat against Ingalls on the 24th.
