The Lone Peak Knights's game on Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 72-62 victory over Arbor View. With that victory, Lone Peak brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.
Lone Peak got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ike Staley out in front who scored 24 points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Taylor, who scored 15 points.
When it comes to explaining why Arbor View lost, one person who can't be blamed is Pharaoh Compton. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points along with 8 rebounds. Compton scored a full 32.3% of Arbor View's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Brian ?Chef? Townsend was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 5 rebounds.
The win got Lone Peak back to even at 2-2. As for Arbor View, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Lone Peak will be playing in front of their home fans against Cottonwood at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Cottonwood will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Arbor View, they will head out on the road to face off against American Fork at 10:40 a.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in the nation (American Fork is ranked 85th in Utah, while Arbor View is ranked 100th in Nevada).
