The Rochester Rockets extended their postseason success on Saturday against the Breese Central Cougars. They claimed a resounding 49-13 victory over the Cougars on the road. Rochester might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 11 contests by 26 points or more this season.
Bryan Zulauf Jr was a one-man wrecking crew for Rochester as he rushed for 104 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 255 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.9% of his passes. Henry Buecker also helped out with an impressive 136 receiving yards.
When it comes to explaining why Breese Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Preston Baker. Despite the final result, he rushed for 93 yards on only ten carries, and also threw for 161 yards and a touchdown.
The victory for Rochester keeps them at an undefeated 12-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 42.83 points. As for Breese Central, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
Rochester will head out on the road to face off against Murphysboro at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Murphysboro will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. Breese Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
