The Teays Valley Christian Lions had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Covenant on the road to the tune of 89-54 on Tuesday. The win was just what Teays Valley Christian needed coming off of a 81-45 defeat in their prior contest.
Maki Cary continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with five steals. Cary is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Eli Pendleton, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and six blocks.
Teays Valley Christian's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9. As for Covenant, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Teays Valley Christian will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. As for Covenant, they will head out on the road to face off against the at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
