Crowley is 1-9 against Kaplan since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Crowley suffered their biggest defeat since November 20, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by St. Martinville 66-21. Crowley has struggled against St. Martinville recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Crowley had strong showings from Alaysia Arvie, who scored 11 points along with three steals, and D'Zyree Thorne, who scored no points. That was a full 52.4% of Crowley's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Kaplan suffered a rough 74-49 loss at the hands of Abbeville on Tuesday. Kaplan has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Crowley has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Kaplan, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.
Crowley took a serious blow against Kaplan in their previous matchup on January 9th, falling 53-11. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Crowley was down 29-7.
