Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is Headland's Third in Last Four Outings

It's playoff time, and Headland had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Eufaula Tigers a 10-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Headland has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Eufaula, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-21.

Eufaula wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 14-6 win against Carroll on the 25th. Hopefully Headland paid attention to the Tigers' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
