The Caldwell Redskins's three-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They pulled ahead with a 46-45 photo finish over Waterford. This was payback for Caldwell, who suffered a 56-48 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Caldwell was led to victory by Carter Wheeldin and Dylan Schott. Wheeldin dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds, while Schott scored 17 points along with four steals. Wheeldin is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Chaz Pfeffer was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
Caldwell's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Waterford, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caldwell will take on Barnesville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Waterford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Federal Hocking at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
