The Oak Glen Golden Bears lost against the Wellsville Tigers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Oak Glen received a tough blow as they fell 56-38 to Wellsville. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Oak Glen has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Oak Glen saw an underclassman step up: A J Ramgeet scored 20 points. Ramgeet scored a full 52.6% of Oak Glen's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Dennis, who scored six points.
Oak Glen has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Wellsville, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Oak Glen will be playing in front of their home fans against Catholic Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Catholic Central is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Wellsville, they will head out on the road to face off against David Anderson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. David Anderson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wellsville in Ohio (David Anderson is ranked 290th, while Wellsville is ranked 650th).
