The South Holt Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the St. Joseph Christian Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Holt is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
While South Holt couldn't quite beat the Wildcats on Tuesday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 37-point loss they were dealt last Monday. South Holt fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 23-21.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph Christian beat the Tigers 52-41 on Friday. Given St. Joseph Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Tigers are ranked 500th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
South Holt dropped their record down to 0-21 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.0 points per game. As for St. Joseph Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
South Holt was taken down by the Lions 63-36 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Will South Holt have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
