Meanwhile, Jesuit faced Mountainside in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Crusaders fell 5-1 to the Mavericks. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Crusaders couldn't push the score so high this time.
Jesuit saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Hildreth, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Jesuit's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-9. As for Sunset, their record now sits at 16-7.
