Kennedale is 3-0 against the Mustangs since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Kennedale Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Life Waxahachie Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Kennedale pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Alvarado. Kennedale has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Life Waxahachie's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Godley on the road and fell 79-27. While losing is never fun, Life Waxahachie can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1141st, while the Wildcats are ranked 149th).
Kennedale's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-17. As for Life Waxahachie, they dropped their record down to 6-21 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Kennedale was able to grind out a solid victory over the Mustangs in their previous matchup back in January, winning 55-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kennedale since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
