Ironton has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. The Ironton Fighting Tigers and the Fleming County Panthers will round out the year against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Fleming County took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Ironton, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Ironton didn't have too much trouble with Lincoln County at home as they won 37-20. The victory was all the more spectacular given Ironton's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 403rd in Ohio, while Lincoln County is ranked 79th in West Virginia).
Meanwhile, Fleming County unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak last Thursday. They were outmatched by Russell at home and fell 83-33. Fleming County has struggled against Russell recently, as their game last Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
The victory got Ironton back to even at 4-4. As for Fleming County, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2.
