Greenville has won seven straight games at home, while Clarion Area has won seven straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Trojans will welcome the Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Greenville had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Girard on Friday. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Yellowjackets.

Justin Schell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brandon Stubert, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Nick Solderich was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and two doubles.
Greenville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, while Clarion Area put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Johnsonburg. The Bobcats blew past the Rams 12-0.
Clarion Area also got a great performance from Carter Hindman as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Derek Smail was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Noah Harrison, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.
Greenville's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Clarion Area, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Greenville has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .487. However, it's not like Clarion Area struggles in that department as they've averaged .434. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Greenville skirted past Clarion Area 7-6 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
