The Lexington Minutemen have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 25 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 70-45 margin over Mansfield Senior. Given Lexington's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Mansfield Senior is ranked 347th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Mansfield Senior still got an impressive performance from Kyevi Roane, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The matchup was Roane's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dondreas Reese, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds.
The win for Lexington keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.3 points per game. As for Mansfield Senior, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Lexington will be home for the holidays to greet Madison Comprehensive at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mansfield Senior, they will head out on the road to face off against Mt. Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
