Brock Burkett Dazzles in Keller Defeat
Starting off the list is Keller's Brock Burkett, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Burkett rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 185 yards on 14 of 28 attempts. Those 115 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
For the year, Burkett has averaged 65.2 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 24.48 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 60.8 passer rating.

Big Game from Penn As Southlake Carroll Won 50-14
Davis Penn's big game helped extend Southlake Carroll's winning streak to seven on Thursday. Penn did his part (and then some), rushing for 131 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries for the 'W'.
Unfortunately for V.R. Eaton, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Penn. Penn rushed for 128 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries the last time he and the Eagles duked it out back in October of 2023.

Brock Boyd Delivers Electric Performance Vs V.R. Eaton
Southlake Carroll picked up their seventh consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Brock Boyd. Boyd turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 79 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground.
This season, Boyd has caught 10 touchdowns while averaging 110.4 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 59.71 receiving yards per game.

Northwest picked up their sixth consecutive win on Thursday thanks in part to Ryder Norton. Norton was dynamite, throwing for 156 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 40 yards.
