Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Community Christian). Everything went their way against the New Life Christian Academy Warriors on Friday as Community Christian made off with a 20-1 win. Considering the Cyclones have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Tyler Spivey made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-5. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Jack Beamon was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Tanner Pierce, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
