It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Central Valley Christian Cavaliers had no problem doing just that on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 43-42 victory over the The Tribe. Winning may never get old, but Central Valley Christian sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
It was another big night for Bryson Donelson, who rushed for 281 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 45 receiving yards.
Despite the loss, Tulare Union had strong showings from Brayden Stevenson, who gained 238 total yards and three touchdowns, and Jordan Crisp, who threw for 346 yards and three touchdowns. Crisp is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last eight games he's played.
Central Valley Christian has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 12-1 record. As for Tulare Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
Central Valley Christian will play host again and welcome Lemoore, where kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lemoore's defense has only allowed 16.1 points per game this season, so Central Valley Christian's offense will have their work cut out for Central Valley Christian. Tulare Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
