The Cedaredge Bruins will take on the Dolores Bears at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Cedaredge will be strutting in after a victory while Dolores will be coming in after a loss.
Cedaredge's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Olathe. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.

Olathe's batters probably weren't too happy with Colten Hutto, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 11 Ks (he gave up a single walk). Hutto has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Rylan Brooks was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April of 2024.
Cedaredge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Dolores didn't have quite enough to beat Sargent last Saturday and fell 5-4.
Declan Warren and Branson Lee did some serious damage despite the final result: Warren went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Lee went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. Dolores is 3-1 when Lee posts two or more runs, but 0-15 otherwise. Waylon Kiddoo was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
The win made it two in a row for Cedaredge and bumps their season record up to 17-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Dolores, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.
Cedaredge was able to grind out a solid win over Dolores in their previous meeting back in March of 2016, winning 19-14. Will the Bruins repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
