If the Scott Central Rebels were feeling good off their 70-22 takedown of the Clarkdale Bulldogs last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Scott Central fell just short of Bay Springs by a score of 51-48. Scott Central has not had much luck with Bay Springs recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Several Rebels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mariah Bulter, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds. Bulter is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashanti Murrell, who scored 12 points along with five assists and four steals.
Scott Central has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record this season. As for Bay Springs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Scott Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bay Springs, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-52 win vs. Newton on the 9th.
