It was fun while it lasted, but King's Fork's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Saturday. They fell 62-55 to the Woodson Cavaliers. The loss was the Bulldogs' first of the season.
Woodson found their leader in sophomore Kaylen Chilton, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chilton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ryan Corallo, who went 5 of 11 en route to 14 points.
Having lost for the first time this season, King's Fork fell to 3-1. As for Woodson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
King's Fork will take on Lakeland in a tournament on Friday. Lakeland knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully King's Fork likes a good challenge. As for Woodson, they will be taking part in a tournament against Wilkes-Barre at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
