Gresham waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the David Douglas Scots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-0 back in April.

Despina Seufalemua made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, La Terra Foster-Frison and Alyssa Grover did most of the damage at the plate: Terra Foster-Frison went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Grover went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Grover is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Melinda Herrejon, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Gresham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .792. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Gresham's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for David Douglas, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Gresham will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Scots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
