The Mashpee Falcons were the 25-20 winner over the Carver Crusaders when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Mashpee suffered a rough 40-16 defeat at the hands of Carver on Friday. Mashpee has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Tyler Lennox had an outrageously good game for Carver as he threw for 327 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Derek Lopes, who picked up 162 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Mashpee's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Carver, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mashpee will take on Blue Hills RVT at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (Blue Hills RVT is ranked 146th, while Mashpee is ranked 157th). As for Carver, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Franklin County Tech at 6:30 p.m. Franklin County Tech is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
