The Norwood Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 64-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Miami Valley Christian Academy. Norwood was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Miami Valley Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2021.
Miami Valley Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Henry Patterson, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Patterson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jack Durand, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Norwood dropped their record down to 2-11 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Miami Valley Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Norwood the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Riverview East Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 27th. As for Miami Valley Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Cincinnati Country Day at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
