Holton had lost eight games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 3-9 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They blew past the Montabella Mustangs 17-7. The Red Devils' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Montabella, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Montabella's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braydon Williamson, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those RBI were Williamson's first of the season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holton will square off against Mason County Central at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Montabella, they will face off against Charlotte at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Orioles' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
