It was a good run, but the Overbrook Panthers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost to Dock Mennonite on the road by a decisive 60-45 margin.
Despite the loss, Overbrook still got an impressive performance from Nasir Kelly, who scored 17 points. The match was Kelly's third in a row with at least ten points. Tahmiere Manning was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Overbrook's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Dock Mennonite, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Overbrook will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Souderton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Souderton is ranked 256th, while Overbrook is ranked 266th). As for Dock Mennonite, they will play host again and welcome Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
