Sweet Water extended the longest winning streak in 2A Region 1 this week by beating Mobile Christian, 42-7. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Sweet Water took down the Leopards 42-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Southern Choctaw's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Danny Napier threw for 62 yards and LaBrandon Young had 35 yards receiving. On the ground Quentin Adams chipped in 95 yards. Gregory Hill helped Southern Choctaw's passing attack out by catching one ball for 22 yards.
Southern Choctaw's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Napier has thrown for 694 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Young has 15 catches for 338 yards. Adams leads the league in rushing with 1317 yards.
Flomaton made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,082 from 7,512. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 34-13 victory over Millry last week.
