While losing is never fun, Lift for Life Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 297th in Missouri, while Collinsville is ranked seventh in Illinois).
Belleville West posted their closest win yet this season on Wednesday. They skirted past Althoff Catholic 67-65. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Belleville West.
Lift for Life Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Belleville West, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.
Lift for Life Academy ended up a good deal behind Belleville West in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, losing 58-42. Can Lift for Life Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
