The New Smyrna Beach Barracudas scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Anclote 67-33 on the road. That 67-33 margin sets a new team best for New Smyrna Beach this season.
New Smyrna Beach's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lukas Parschauer, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. The game was Parschauer's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Josh Reik was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Anclote's loss came despite strong showings from Mekhi Brown and Kevin Cote. Brown scored 11 points, while Cote scored ten points.
New Smyrna Beach's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Anclote, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
New Smyrna Beach's road trip will continue as they head out to face Spruce Creek at 6:30 p.m. on January 13th. As for Anclote, they will be playing at home against Gulf at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Gulf focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Monday.
