On the hitting side, Tyler Shaw was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and one run. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Kroski, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Simley was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mahtomedi. The Spartans have struggled against the Zephyrs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.
North's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Simley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
