Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Zephyrhills Bulldogs walked away with it. They breezed by the Royal Knights on the road to the tune of 75-27 on Tuesday. That 48 point margin sets a new team best for Zephyrhills this season.
Several Royal Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was THOMAS DELORETO, who scored six points. The team also got some help courtesy of JOHN GOLDEN, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Zephyrhills has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for River Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.
Zephyrhills will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Cypress Creek at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. One thing working in Zephyrhills' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. River Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
