Brock Cornell Drops League-Best Effort on Friday
Starting off the list is West Allegheny's Brock Cornell, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Cornell made eight total tackles and defended a pass. The performance also marked the most rushing yards (156) he has had since back in September of 2023. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because West Allegheny is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

Montour Gets a Boost from Hopper in 47-13 Win
Trey Hopper's big game helped extend Montour's winning streak to eight on Friday. Hopper was unstoppable, throwing for 255 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Montour's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Hopper and Montour will challenge Aliquippa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Montour Wins Eighth-Straight Thanks to James Bundridge
Montour picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to James Bundridge. Bundridge was dynamite, picking up 92 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 74 yards.
