Fans got a thrill when Caden Voges and Damen Wheeler connected against Christian Brothers. The connection went for 99 yards, the longest such play in Metropolitan this season.
Sacramento moved up to 152 from 209 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Dragons were able to move up by topping the Falcons 48-38.
Sacramento's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Voges threw for 529 and 6 touchdowns and Wheeler had 380 yards receiving. On the ground Lonny Powell chipped in 88 yards. Talik Ellis helped Sacramento's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 79 yards.
He went 19-29 with 0 interceptions.
Wheeler had a great week catching the football as Paul Doherty's team defeated Christian Brothers. He caught 8 passes for 380 yards.
Voges put up the best numbers through the air as the Dragons bested George Petrissans' team.
Sacramento's Voges and Wheeler have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Voges has thrown for 4,139 yards this season, while Wheeler has 79 catches for 1,840 yards. Kennedy's Floyd Hillis-Cooper leads the league in rushing yards with 1,828.
The Dragons extended the longest winning streak in Metropolitan this week by beating the Falcons, 48-38. The victory was the eighth in a row for Sacramento.
